Won't my
insurance rates go up if I file a claim?
It depends on how your
glass broke. Most of the customers have their glass break from a
rock off the road, vandalism, or unknown reasons. If this is the
case for you, your glass claim would fall under the comprehensive
portion of your insurance - which doesn't raise your rates.

Do you bill my
insurance company directly?

We are approved by all insurance companies. We bill the insurance
company directly so that you won't have to worry about the details.

Will filing an auto glass claim count towards my insurance policy?
In many cases, insurance companies will not count auto glass damage
as a claim on your policy. To be certain, please refer to your
policy or contact your agent and/or insurance provider to confirm
your specific coverage.

What if I only have
liability coverage?
Because liability insurance only provides coverage for damages to
another vehicle, auto glass services are not covered under your
liability policy. MyDetailer.com offers multiple payment
options including cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and
American Express. In addition, flexible payment plans may be
available.

Will all insurance companies waive my deductible if my windshield is
repaired rather than replaced?
Many insurance companies cover windshield repair at 100 percent
coverage with no deductible. A MyDetailer.com
representative will be happy to help you with your questions
regarding insurance coverage.

What if my deductible is the same or more than the auto glass
service?
MyDetailer.com
offers multiple payment options including cash, checks, Visa,
MasterCard, Discovery and American Express. In addition, flexible
payment plans may be available.

Do I need to contact my agent or insurance company before I contact
MyDetailer.com?
We're experts at verifying coverage, filing the claim and handling
all the paperwork. We are affiliated with more than 100 insurance
companies. In many cases, we have coverage information available
online. If not, we'll contact your insurance company and submit the

Somebody vandalized my car. Will my insurance cover that?
Yes, if you have
full coverage on your car, your insurance policy will cover your
vandalism loss (minus the cost of your deductible). Vandalism
claims fall under comprehensive coverage, not collision coverage. A
vandalism claim is not considered your fault and will not raise your
rates.

My car
is vandalized. Do I need to call the police?
No, most insurance
companies take your word on vandalism claims and don't require a
police report or a visual inspection. Although, having a police
report will help in other criminal cases if needed.
previous page!
Do I need an adjuster to look at my car before you fix it?
No, insurance
companies don't require an adjuster for glass claims.
MyDetailer.com
is on a network with all insurance companies and can help you handle
the claims process. Once your job is done, your insurance company
will pay us a rate that they pre-set. The adjuster from your
insurance company DOES NOT need to come out and look at your car
before you fix it. Your claim is enough.

How does my
insurance deductible work?
Your insurance
deductible is the portion of the payment that you are responsible
for. When your job is completed, you pay your deductible to the
repair shop - and your insurance company pays the remainder of the
bill. Most people have a lower comprehensive deductible than they
realize and are able to save money by having us file a claim for
them.
previous page!
How does my insurance deductible work if they broke my window and
stole my stereo?
You only have to
pay your deductible once - to whomever provides you the first
service. You are only responsible for your deductible once per
incident, and that's all you'll have to pay no matter how much
damage was done to your vehicle.
previous page!
How
much are you going to charge my insurance company?
Each insurance
company works with us on a regular basis to set fair and reasonable
rates. We charge all insurance companies a rate that they have
individually negotiated with the glass industry.

Insurance claims information
Your
insurance company may insist you call an 800 number when you have an
auto glass claim. In most cases, this is a direct phone number for
a network owned by a national auto glass chain. This network may
"strongly encourage" or insist that you use one of their convenient
locations trying to steer you away from a locally owned independent
shop. The networks are not permitted to threaten you with the need
for inspection, slow payment of claim, or even the possibility of
higher prices. The insurance companies have preset pricing that
they will pay for the work regardless of who does the repairs.
These
network usually use their own aftermarket brand of glass and use
substandard technicians to install their glass. Don't settle for
inexperience installers. Contact GenuineGlass.com today for
an experienced, professional installer to work on your vehicle.

TELL ME ABOUT THE ADHESIVES USED
Adhesive cure times
are affected by a number of factors, including environmental
conditions like temperature and humidity.
to learn more about curing times and other information. Please be
sure to follow those directions in order to ensure the safest
possible installation.
We use only the
highest quality adhesives, recognized by auto glass professionals as
the choice for safe and convenient installations every time.
We use several
adhesive formulations, depending upon the weather conditions under
which the glass is installed. Certain adhesives have chemical
additives that enhance the cure process in freezing weather, getting
you back on the road quickly AND safely.
All of our
adhesives pass all Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and OEM
(Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications.

WINDSHIELD CURING TIME AND OTHER INSTRUCTIONS
- Do not slam any
of the doors within the first 5 days.
- Do not wash your
vehicle for 72 hours.
- Leave windows
slightly rolled down for 24 hours.
- If possible,
minimize your driving within the first 24 hours. Driving your
vehicle before the adhesive has a chance to cure could cause the
adhesive bond to fail, creating leaks.
- Special
retention tape may be used to safely secure the windshield molding
while the adhesive cures. You may carefully remove the tape 24
hours after the installation.
- Avoid cleaners
that contain ammonia or alcohol within the first 48 hours.
- You should avoid
abrasive cleaners at all times.

What's the difference between the windshield and the other glass in
my vehicle? Isn't it all the same?
No! There's a very
important difference between your windshield and the rest of the
glass in your vehicle. Your windshield has "Laminated Safety
Glass". Laminated safety glass has two pieces of glass with a thin
layer of vinyl sandwiched between them. The special construction is
designed to offer optimum safety in a crash. When a small object
strikes your windshield, often only the first layer of the glass is
damaged. This is what makes the windshield rock chip repair
possible.
In a more severe
impact, the glass may shatters. But, it does not fly apart. The
broken pieces of glass adhere to the vinyl inner lining and prevent
shards of glass from flying into the passenger area.
The side and rear
windows of your vehicle are made of curved tempered glass. As the
name implies, the glass has been tempered. It is put through a
special process where it is heated, then rapidly cooled. This
tempering process makes the glass up to 10 times stronger than
normal window glass. When broken, the side and back windows of your
vehicle do not shatter into large dangerous shards of glass. It
breaks into very small dull-edged pieces.

I have a rock chip in my windshield, is it really important that I
fix it right away?
Yes! It's
important for two reasons.
1. If the damage
is small, it may be repairable. This means our repair person can
"mend" the damaged area without replacing your entire windshield.
The whole process takes less that 30 minutes and can be done at your
home or business. A rock chip repair preserves the original factory
seal and is fully guaranteed by
GenuineGlass.com
for the life of your windshield. If it fails for any reason, we
will apply the cost of the repair towards your windshield
replacement cost.
Rock chips should
be repaired as soon as possible. The longer you let the damage
remain without having it fixed, the more dirt and road film will
collect in the damaged area. The damage could also spread. Call
GenuineGlass.com
today. It could save your windshield.
2. The second
reason to have a damaged windshield fixed is for safety purposes.
Your windshield is much more than just a "shield" from wind and road
debris. It's an important structural element of your vehicle. In
front end collisions, the windshield is the "backboard" for the
passenger side airbag. An airbag deploys at speeds up to 200 miles
per hour. This incredible force must be absorbed by your
windshield. If your windshield is cracked or weakened, it could be
dangerous to you and your passengers in the event of an accident.
Whether your
windshield needs a rock chip repair or a complete replacement, you
can trust that
GenuineGlass.com will do it
right. We have NGA certified technicians and
guarantee all our work.
